“Gmail Redesigned” stylesheet for Mailplane
Thursday, July 31, 2008
Mike Krieger has ported the famous and elegant "Gmail Redesigned" stylesheet to Mailplane! Designed by GlobexDesigns, the stylesheet is part of the "Better Gmail" Firefox extension. It worked in Firefox only and thanks to Mike now in Mailplane, too.
Please visit the mailplaneapp Google group to get it. The CSS file is located in the "Files" section and is named "gmail-redesigned-webkit (n).css" (n is the version number).
Watch the installation screencast to get started:
Important: As the stylesheet is maintained by Mike, please post your suggestions, problems, and feedback to the mailplaneapp Google group.

Can you update the blog on progress with the 2.0 beta?
This style sheet looks great, but doesn’t work so well in Mailplane 1.x.

Hi Marc,
Yes, the stylesheet works with Mailplane 2.0 only. The beta version is now “feature complete”. I’m now working on help, webpages and of course bugfixes. Some tanslations are missing, too.
Give it a try, it is stable.
Best,

Great job I really love the stylesheet. It’s a shame but the images are hosted in the developer’s site and they exceeded their CPU Quota :(

It would be better if the images would be inlined. I’ll contact the css author.
Best regards,

Holy *%&! that is gorgeous!
I’ve recently returned to Mailplane as I decided to use Gmail as my main mail account after getting seriously shafted by Apple’s MobileMe “service”.
This sheet is another reason why I’m glad I did.
