Gmail update: Attachments with progress bars
Wednesday, March 04, 2009
Mailplane has always had multiple ways to attach your files and pictures to a message: Drag and Drop, iPhoto plugin, cut and paste, the media browser, screenshots, PDF Service, and more. Now Google has added something many users have waited for: Progress bars when uploading attachments.

Updated to last version and the left column (chat, labels, inbox etc, ) takes 50%of my screen pushing the messages to the right.
Any fixes for this?

Hi!
I can’t get the new attachment method with the progress bars to work on my system. I works smoothly on gmail.com but not in MailPlane :-(
When things are attached the sending time is waaay too long and it ends up with losing the connection to gmail!
Any ideas/fixes/help here?
Thanks!

@Carlos: Unfortunately this is Gmail problem: It happens in Safari and Mailplane and other WebKit based browsers. Workaround: Disable Google Labs.
@Henrik: Please reset your Gmail session (Command-Click the “sign out” link + Mailplane->Empty Cache + Sign in). Make sure you have Mailplane 2.0.6. If you have Flash 10 on your Mac, switch to “Basic Attachment Features” in Gmail Settings.
Hope this helps.

It is not acceptable at all to completely disable Google Labs, can you point me to a link in Google Groups where this issue is hosted?

Hi Carlos,
It may only be related to “Offline Gmail”, but I am not 100% sure. Please check out this group:

Here’s one example thread (there are several):

I’ve downloaded the latest update today and now the screen is breaking in MailPlane, I have a 19200x1800 monitor and the message part floats right and the labels and inbox folders, chat, etc take 50% of my screen, any fix soon?
