I was looking for a support forum or such, to ask .. since I’m pretty sure MailPlane is a webkit based solution, aside from features, it almost sounds like it won’ t be much different and the prior comment kinda confirms that.
The browser doing gmail tends to leak all over RAM, get slower and slower, the amount of RAM used by it gets larger and larger.
Sounds like similar behavior is being experienced here.

@Jan: Do you use Google Gears w/ Gmail Offline? This could be the reason for the memory consumption.
@tdiaz: Yes, Mailplane is based on WebKit. Memory gets stable after some usage, so I don’t think there’s a leak. But, I’ll keep an eye on it.

It’s probably just a WebKit problem. I don’t use gears.
Next entry: New Gmail lab feature: Mark unread from here
Previous entry: Offline Gmail graduates from Labs

Guys, i’m testing mailplane and something is not ok. It eats up huge amounts of ram (right now over 300MB). Usually starts at 80MB and constantly grows over time… are you aware of this memory leak?
