This “upgrade” is STILL EXCEEDINGLY slow!!

Frequent hangs and stalls.  Not playing nice with Gmail.  Please fix.

Hey Guys - Not sure if the grey screen thing is quite fixed yet - It just did it to me then.

I’m not sure, but i suspect that Mailplan 2.1.5 has broken webkit’s icon handling, all icons relating to webkit (chromium, safari, mailplane) shows up as blank in the dock/cmd+tab boxes, however they show up just fine in the applications folder. very odd behaviour.

any ideas?

@Michael: Is it related to “Offline Gmail”? Try to disable “Google Gears” in Advanced preferences. Does it help? if not: Please send more info to ruben AT mailplaneapp.com (which operation is slow, maybe a screenshot etc).

@Anthony: Is it related to drag and drop?

@Jonas: Please restart your Mac, does it help?

@Ruben: First thing I tried, but simply removing/adding the applications from the dock worked (duuh). Anyways, will let you know if it occurs again in relation to mailplane.

Cheers

I was tempted to download Mailplane after props from Merlin Mann and the promise of GreaseKit and other tweaks… I’ve yet to get anything extra running despite installing SIMBL, etc.

Has support for these been dropped in more recent versions?

Hi Michael,

GreaseKit works inside Mailplane. Just install SIMBL and then GreaseKit and you should get the “GreaseKit” menu before the “Window” menu.

Here’s how you install a new Gmail script:
1) Open Safari
2) Install a GreaseKit script by visiting the web page (known to work: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/8810)
3) Start Mailplane
4) Check the script in the GreaseKit menu (restart Mailplane in case it doesn’t have any effect)

Other tweaks to explore:
- Rapportive plugin by http://rapportive.com, check out the latest preview http://mailplaneapp.com/download/preview
- the Mailplane Preference > Tweak UI settings
- a custom stylesheet, for example to remove the ads: http://github.com/adamstac/mailplane-hide-gmail-ads-css

Is it just me, or is the OmniFocus plugin not working anymore in the new version?

I hope this will be fixed!

Hi Hugo,

The plugin still works, but sometimes the keyboard shortcut stop (⌥F6) stops working. Please select some text and then try the Mailplane > Services > OmniFocus: Send to Inbox menu item using the mouse.

If it’s the keyboard shortcut: Please contact OmniGroup for a solution, as they provide the service and keyboard shortcut.
