So, any chance for new round of beta program invites soon? :)

Hi Ruben,

I was using mailplane after the new updates and they sure are really cool, however I think when you login in multiple accounts without signing out there should be some command to signout from previous accounts. Like if i login in from 4 accounts and I want to signout from 1 of them, I am not able to do it. I have to Quit the mailplane. It should allow me to signout from any account and continue with others.

But on the other side. This application is surely the best so far.

Thanks!!!

Great effort!!!

Hi Umed,
Thanks for your suggestion and feedback!
I assume you’d like to stop the notifications when you switch accounts.

Ruben,
Mailplane really is a great app and it’s developping extremely quickly. One question though: why is it still a power-pc only app? Unless I’ve somehow downloaded a wrong version, my computer says that this is not a universal binary, which is a shame in terms of speed and saving resources…

Hi Owen,
Thanks for your feedback. Mailplane is a Universal binary. It is developed on a intel MacBook. But, Mailplane starts in two stages to support rich text editing and this could fool the Get Info stuff. I’ll look into it.

Ah I see, thanks for the clarification. I only found this out when I tried to slim the application in xslimmer, and it displayed the app as power-pc only.

Hi!
I started using mailplane yesterday and I like everything about it except one thing. Multiple accounts is great but from my brief experience it seems like only one account at a time is indexed with growl or a number for new mail. Are there any plans on making multiple accounts visible without opening the app or clicking the icon?
Maybe it’s only me but I’m used to running double instances of google notifier and have gotten heavily addicted (in a bad way) to always being able to see the status of two accounts.
Really like the app and I’m going to keep using it anyway.

Hi Adam,
The idea is that you are only notified for new messages that arrive to you active account.
The Growl notifications would be possible, however the message count shown in dock and menu bar would take too much space for multiple accounts.

Guys,

This feature rocks. I have been needing an ability to quickly and easily switch between accounts and this works well. Thanks!

As far as multiple accounts, I would like to see notifications of all accounts, rather than just the active one.  The dock icon could show a total of the unread mail messages.  For example, 2 unread in one account and 1 unread in another is indicated by a 3 on the dock icon and the toolbar gizmo.

This is a pretty clean simple way to notify of any new mail message.  It happens to also be the way Mail.app works.  Of course, you could always have the behavior toggle with a preference.

This is about the last hurdle to ditching Mail.app for me and going with MailPlane fulltime.

@J: Thanks for the ideas!

I’m with David and J: monitoring multiple accounts at the same time is almost crucial to me and it would be awesome to see this integrated into Mailplane somehow. I like the idea of displaying the sum of new messages in the Dock icon and menu bar.

Other than that: Testing since half a day now and I totally love this app.

Thanks for your comment Dennis.
You can configure the unread message counter to add up all signed in accounts. See all 2.0 features: http://mailplaneapp.com/features

Hey Ruben, that’s great, thanks for the hint - I didn’t notice that!

Keep up the great work!
