Switch between Accounts

Learn how to easily switch between different accounts.

You can easily switch between different accounts.

There are three ways to switch accounts:

#1: Use the quick switch dialog

If you like to use your keyboard, then this is the fastest way to access another account.

  1. Press ⌃⌘A on your keyboard (Mailplane > Switch to Account menu item)
  3. Use the arrow keys to select the account, or enter some letters to narrow down the list.
  4. Press ENTER to switch to the selected account.

#2: Use the menu bar item

This method works even if Mailplane isn't the active application.

  1. Click the Mailplane menu item in the menu bar (You can turn it on or off in Preferences > General)
  2. Click the account name in the menu.

#3: Use the accounts drawer

This method uses some screen estate, but it gives you a nice account overview.

To access your Gmail account you need to switch to it:

  1. Click the "Accounts" toolbar item to open the accounts drawer (or use the View > Open Accounts Drawer menu item)
  2. Select the newly added account in the list
  3. Click the Switch To... button.
    Alternative: Double click the account in the list.
  4. Enter the Gmail password in Authentication dialog
  5. Click the Login button load your inbox.
